FLY AIRSHARE
Looking to disrupt spoke-to-spoke air travel, FlyAirshare set out to make private aviation accessible and affordable to corporations, institutions, and the public for business and personal travel through a collaborative ridesharing platform.
FlyAirshare's initial goal, as a boot-strapped startup, was to prove the model of collaborative rideshare aviation. Porter designed and developed a minimum viable platform with a website integrated to LinkedIn Groups as the communication platform. A custom price comparison calculator was also built to scrape data on commercial flight costs and compare to seat costs on the sliding scale for FlyAirshare flights.
The founders of FlyAirshare knew that a well-funded start-up out of L.A., Surf Air, was having trouble securing their FAA 135 Air Carrier certificate which would enable them to sell individual seats and go to market with their subscription-based model. Which for FlyAirshare, was not an obstacle as they had the coveted certificate through their family-owned private charter and management business. We recognized that time was against them and it was critical to take-off before the competition.
To explore this new market, Porter felt that it was important that the service feel approachable and fun, not exclusive, with a positioning statement of maximize your time, travel smarter.
We delivered the brand identity system, website, reservation and ridesharing collaboration platform along with all marketing and investor collateral.
